Group Consultation

Collaborative Pathways offers group consultation for mental health, allied professionals, or agencies/group practices. All consult groups allow for interaction with colleagues and are a more affordable way of furthering knowledge and/or getting additional support. Three types of groups are offered.

Content Knowledge Groups–for individuals looking to learn more about working with a specific topic or patient population. The consultant(s) leading the group will serve as a teacher and provide content knowledge to further learning. The following groups are offered in regular rotation:

● Reading group on World Professional Organization for Transgender Health (WPATH) Standards of Care
● Smart Business Practices: The Art of Scheduling
● Smart Business Practices: Understanding Health Insurance 101
● Smart Business Practices: Creating an LGBTQ Affirming Practice
● Caring for the Professional Caretaker: Burn Out, Vicarious Trauma, and Self Care

Clinical Consultation Groups–“classic” consultation groups during which participants talk about current cases and provide each other feedback. The consultant(s) serve as a group facilitator and content level expert. The following groups are offered based on interest:

● General Group- Working with Youth and Families
● General Group- Working with 18+
● Working with Gender Diverse Youth and their Parents–this group is led by 2 consultants: one who focuses on youth and the other on parents
● Working with Kink and/or Consensual Non-monogamy
● Working with Transgender Adults
● LGB Competent Care

Hybrid Consultation Groups–for individuals with current cases they want to discuss, who also recognize the need to grow competency. The consultant(s) will facilitate discussion and also provide content level knowledge, as appropriate. The following groups are offered based on interest:

● Working with Gender Diverse Youth and their Parents–this group is led by 2 consultants: one who focuses on youth and the other on parents
● Working with Kink and/or Consensual Non-monogamy
● Working with Transgender Adults
● LGB Competent Care
